Get noticed—list your business on the Village of North Aurora website

Free listing showcases local businesses

In an effort to support the local business community, the Village of North Aurora maintains a local business directory on our website ( where businesses can list their business information free of charge.

The Village of North Aurora strives to keep property taxes low by encouraging consumer spending at local businesses. The business directory is a way to encourage residents to shop and do business locally, which in turn, helps the Village of North Aurora to continue to maintain and augment existing infrastructure.

If you are a business owner in North Aurora, please be sure to check out our business directory listing on our website and consider adding your business to the local businesses who are already benefiting from this free directory. For any business that would like to be a part of the business directory, please contact the village hall at 630-897-8228. You will be asked
to provide your business contact information, a logo, and brief description of your business. There is no charge for this feature and this provides an opportunity for residents and anyone visiting our website, to see all that our local businesses have to offer.

2015 Free leaf pickup program

FREE curb-side leaf pick-up will run from mid-October through late November based on the schedule below. Residents should place their leaves at the curb on the appropriate Monday for pickup during the week.
Residents living on the WEST side of the river, pick-up will begin on Mondays the week of:
Oct. 19, Nov. 2 and Nov. 16
Residents living on the EAST side of the river, pick-up will begin on Mondays the week of:
Oct. 26, Nov. 9 and Nov. 23
Leaves must be raked to the curb by 6am on Monday of the pick-up week. Leaf piles must be free of any foreign materials including branches, plants, rocks and landscape waste. Leaves should be raked in a row parallel to the street, at least one foot and no more than five feet back from the curb. Piles should be less than two feet in height. Leaves MUST be out at the curb by 6am on Monday of the pick-up week; however, leaves may be picked up at any time during that entire week. A daily log is kept of streets that have been serviced and trucks will not go back down streets to pick up on streets that have already been serviced.

To allow better access for the leaf collection equipment, please keep leaves away from mailboxes, ditches, pipes and culverts. Residents are encouraged to park in driveways or garages, and not on the street in front of leaf piles. Snow, rain, freezing temperatures or
mechanical difficulties may delay or halt curbside leaf collection. For residents who choose to bag their leaves, please note Waste Management will pick up leaf filled Kraft paper bags free, no stickers required, on Fridays during October and November. All other landscape waste will require a sticker. The last pick up for leaves and landscape waste (sticker required) will be the last Friday in November. Landscape pick-up will resume in April. For questions regarding the free leaf pick-up, please contact the village or call Waste Management at 800-796-9696 for other questions.
