Reminders from Public Works

Due to the Memorial Day holiday, trash pickup will be provided on Sat., May 31.
Yard Waste Pickup: Kraft paper bags and waste stickers are required for all yard waste pickups through the end of November. Brush and branches must be bundled in 4-foot lengths, not exceeding 50 pounds, and require a sticker at all times. Bagged leaves are picked up free only during October and November. Bag and sticker any leaves left from last summer. Free Mulch is available at 316 Butterfield Rd. Residents must load their own mulch, as no delivery is available. Ash trees marked with a white dot will be removed this spring. The Village will be replacing approximately 150 parkway trees. Unstable mailboxes and decaying wood posts may have been damaged by heavy snow coming off the snowplows during the long winter. The Village is not responsible for mailboxes that are damaged by snow from the plows. Spring is the best time to make certain posts are in good condition, firmly set in the ground and that the mailbox is fastened securely to the post. Check yours today!
Please call the Village first if you experience a sanitary sewer backup in your home. This will allow Public Works to check the main sewer line for any trouble prior to residents calling a plumber. If you must call after hours or on weekends, call the Police Department
